From 5 to 7 June, four private gardens around Beaune will be exceptionally opening their gates to the public in aid of the Jardins & Santé association. The aim is to help fund therapeutic gardens in hospitals and care facilities, while offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature, heritage, biodiversity and artistic creation.
In Ruffey-lès-Beaune, the Jardin du Gravin opens the doors to a vast landscaped area of almost 8,000 m², designed over the years as a place to breathe and relax. With its wooded parklands, shady paths, perennial beds, new plantings and recently created pond, visitors are invited to stroll through a living garden, shaped by the seasons and the inspiration of its owners.
The site harmoniously blends the spirit of a park with that of a pleasure garden, with numerous trees offering coolness and tranquillity. Every space here has been designed to encourage rest, the observation of nature and the pleasure of a stroll. The open views of the vegetation, the shady corners and the different plant atmospheres give the site a particularly soothing atmosphere.
To mark this exceptional opening in aid of the Jardins & Santé association, the garden will also be hosting a number of works by Burgundy sculptor Gérald Deloge, alias 'Bol', on 6 and 7 June. His contemporary creations will discreetly punctuate the walk and interact with the natural landscape of the park.
The garden will be open on Friday 5 June from 2pm to 6pm, and on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June from 10am to 6pm.
