Sab's - Alambic Bourguignon is a traditional distillery located in Beaune, the capital of Burgundy's great wines.
With its mobile steam still, Sab's Alambic Bourguignon is one of the last distilleries in Burgundy to perpetuate the ancestral tradition of the mobile distiller. In other words, it travels and distils in the village, right where the harvest takes place, distilling the best of Burgundy. Our roots in the villages of Burgundy have enabled us to forge close links with the winegrowers, and we draw inspiration from their work to create eaux-de-vies from their terroirs.
After the wine sale (last weekend in November), we embark on our winter tour of villages to distil the grape marcs and wine lees of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the finest Burgundy terroirs. We are among the last to produce the AOC Marc de Bourgogne and Fine de Bourgogne. We also make genuine winegrower's gins.
