Historical presentation of the Château de la Crée, founded in 1431 on the land of Nicolas Rolin (Chancellor to the Duke of Burgundy) and the cultural wealth of the village of Santenay (Gallo-Roman remains, monasteries, Montagne des Trois Croix, etc.).
We will then visit our 1.5-hectare vineyard in Santenay - Clos du Château, planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
Observing the landscape around us will perfectly illustrate the classification of Burgundy appellations and the importance of Terroir.
We'll look at the specific features of the Santenay appellation and Château de la Crée, not forgetting how to tend the vines.
Then it's time to descend into our 15th-century vaulted cellars.
