Reinoud Van Mechelen has a long history with the music of Bach, particularly the Passions, whose choruses he sang as a child. Having performed the Evangelist in both Passions on numerous occasions with Philippe Herreweghe and William Christie, the Belgian tenor now presents his own vision of the absolute monument that is the St John Passion at the head of his ensemble A nocte temporis. This will be the first Bach Passion at the Beaune Festival since 2013.
