Burgundy is hosting an exceptional new event: the first edition of the Burgundy International Piano Competition will be held at the Chapelle Saint Etienne in Beaune on 28 and 29 March 2026, to coincide with World Piano Day.
Organised by the Beaune Piano Fest association, the aim of this competition is to reveal the talents of tomorrow, in a spirit of artistic excellence, humanity and transmission. It is open to young pianists from all over the world, aged between 6 and 35, divided into two main categories: Junior and Master.
This musical event takes place in a unique setting:
- Public concerts with an exceptional concert grand piano (Kawai)
- Immersive scenography combining music and visual arts
- Reception of candidates facilitated by local partnerships
The competition will take place in two stages: an online selection, followed by a final in Beaune where the selected pianists will perform in front of an international jury. The gala evening on 29 March will showcase the winners in a concert open to all.
This new musical event is set to become a key part of Burgundy's cultural landscape, a place for encounters, shared emotions and artistic discoveries. Not to be missed!
The Saint Etienne chapel can accommodate 150 people.
