Cycle tour of the Côtes de Beaune - Burgundy wines and vineyards

After a transfer by vehicle from Beaune Tourist Office to the departure point, your guide will welcome you for a briefing on how to use the bike and how the day will unfold.
This cycle tour of the Côtes de Beaune is entirely devoted to discovering the Burgundy vineyards, their terroirs and their great wines.

You'll cycle through some of the world's most prestigious vineyards, past rows of vines, iconic wine villages and authentic Burgundy landscapes.

Highlights of the experience:
Discovering Burgundy's most beautiful wine-growing landscapes by bike.
-Ride through the famous villages of Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet.
Visit one of Burgundy's iconic 13th-century châteaux or the Chassagne wine estate, with a tasting of 4 wines.
-Lunch in Puligny-Montrachet, either a picnic or a traditional Burgundian meal.
-Learn about Burgundy wines and terroir from your guide.
-Pass through the legendary Grands Crus: Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet...
-Enjoy a glass of wine amongst the vines.
-Visit a family wine estate, discover its cellars and the work of the winemaker.

Timetable
Departure: 9.30 am, allée du Docteur Bouley, next to the entrance to the Parc de la Bouzaize in Beaune.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start.
Return to the same place around 5pm.

Weather
In bad weather, the tour is by minibus.
If conditions improve, part of the route can be covered by bike.

Level of difficulty
Easy: the route is generally downhill, alternating between flat and short climbs.
Accessible to visitors, no particular cycling experience required.
